I've spoken with a lot of people about what they do for a backup solution for their computer files. I am frequently asked for advice from people buying new computers, if they should buy a PC or Mac.
When I am asked for advice on computer purchases, I usually recommend Apple computers. I also talk to clients and friends about what they plan to do to back up their files. It's simple on both the PC and Mac to back up your files to an external hard disk, but unless you have an automated backup solution, most people forget to setup a backup and then tell me that their backup hasn't been run for 6 months or even longer.

In most cases, people don't backup their files at all. When something horrible happens to your computer like a hard disk failure or some kind of corruption or even a virus, friends, relatives and other clients would bring the computer in asked me to save their files.
A lot of times, I feel like the doctor in a surgery room. I have to come out and tell my client or friend, "I'm sorry, your files didn't make it, I did everything I could to save them."
All drama aside, I wanted to provide you with the research and information that I have been looking into for a long time about online backup or cloud backup solutions. I have checked into all of the big names in offsite backup solutions and I've finally landed on using justcloud.com.
The reason I'm using justcloud.com versus any of the other cloud-based backup solution providers is because they provide unlimited file backup with their professional edition. Many of the other online backup solution providers will only give you a maximum of 250 GB or 500 GB of storage space online. While this may be fine for a lot of people, I feel it is very important to have unlimited backup space. Over the years you will see increasing file sizes of your photos, videos and you will need that extra space.
I have set up an affiliate link for John Hubickey and HubuMedia.com on justcloud.com and I would recommend that you click on this link to sign up for this online backup service. Because I am providing you with the link, you are giving me credit on through the affiliation program that I have with them. This helps me out but more importantly gets you and your computer and online backup solution that I reccomend.
I've done the research for you. Now make sure you get your computer back up. Click on the link for justcloud.com or any one of the links in this article and you will be using my affiliate link to set up your new account.
Don't wait until your hard drive crashes or you get a virus. If you bring me your computer and ask "John, can you help me save my files?" I would ask you if your files are backed up one thing I would like to hear you say is, "Yes, I took your advice and signed up for justcloud.com so my files are safe!"
Thanks for listening now go back up your stuff!
