this year during comic con 2012 in San Diego, there was a zombie survival Ron at Petco Park. Since we didn't have tickets for every day of comic-con I decided that this would be an awesome thing to do. I mounted up both of my GoPro HREO2 cameras, one to my head and the other one to my chest and recorded the entire zombie survival run.

the running from zombies and attempting to not be infected was a challenge. But it was great training for the upcoming zombie apocalypse. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed zombie survival run!

I went to the 2012 Comic-Con in San Diego and put on my GoPro HERO2 camera while walking around the exhibit floor

Many people think that a lot of websites don't improve often. Feeling changes you might see would be new postings or some graphical updates. A new blog posting might be something interesting to read but it might be a little bit more interesting to make that posting if you could just send it to your website in an email.

This blog post happens to be sent to our website through email. Once the email is sent, the website scans the email and then automatically post it to the blog section. Another thing that simplifies this blog posting is the fact that I'm dictating it right now. I'm actually dictating it using my iPad. For me, this is helpful. I'm not the fastest typer in the world and being able to use dictation to put text on a page really speeds things up for me. Although dictation isn't perfect, it sure makes putting a bunch of text on a page a lot faster.

As technology progresses, so will dictating directly to a computer. Now I don't want to make this article about dictation, and what I really want to make it about is the fact that I'm dictating to my iPad and then sending this as an email which my website will then create a blog post from.

To me, that is very powerful. So many of my clients are not very excited about logging into a website to make changes. But everyone in the world is very happy with sending email. It seems like we've all been doing it forever. Making things easier for our clients is what HubuMedia is all about. Learning, experimenting and trying out new technologies to makes things flow faster and simplify processes is what we like to do.

If I'm lucky, I will send this email, turn off my iPad and go to sleep and when I wake up, I'll see this blog post on our website. I have a feeling it will happen. I've spoken with a lot of people about what they do for a backup solution for their files. Read my reccomendations for the safety of your files.

I've spoken with a lot of people about what they do for a backup solution for their computer files. I am frequently asked  for advice from people buying new computers, if they should buy a PC or Mac. 

When I am asked for advice on computer purchases, I usually recommend Apple computers. I also talk to clients and friends about what they plan to do to back up their files. It's simple on both the PC and Mac to back up your files to an external hard disk, but unless you have an automated backup solution, most people forget to setup a backup and then tell me that their backup hasn't been run for 6 months or even longer.

In most cases, people don't backup their files at all. When something horrible happens to your computer like a hard disk failure or some kind of corruption or even a virus, friends, relatives and other clients would bring the computer in asked me to save their files.

A lot of times, I feel like the doctor in a surgery room. I have to come out and tell my client or friend, "I'm sorry, your files didn't make it, I did everything I could to save them."

All drama aside, I wanted to provide you with the research and information that I have been looking into for a long time about online backup or cloud backup solutions. I have checked into all of the big names in offsite backup solutions and I've finally landed on using justcloud.com.

The reason I'm using justcloud.com versus any of the other cloud-based backup solution providers is because they provide unlimited file backup with their professional edition. Many of the other online backup solution providers will only give you a maximum of 250 GB or 500 GB of storage space online. While this may be fine for a lot of people, I feel it is very important to have unlimited backup space. Over the years you will see increasing file sizes of your photos, videos and you will need that extra space.

This is very similar to the Google+ personal page but it is geared towards allowing businesses to get a greater footprint in the social media market. This past weekend, HubuMedia was at the Malvern Harvest Family Festival and Paws in the Park fair.

They also had the dogs in the park portion of the fair where vendors had pet friendly products and services in the park. They closed off King Street in Malvern PA and vendors set up their tents.

Among them was the HubuMedia crew, John Hubickey and Krissy Talley. Although this is more of a family oriented event, I thought it would be a great idea for us to get our feet wet in the vendor area and offer some good website design deals to small businesses. A lot of people walking through the fair have their own home business. We thought it would be good to interact with individuals who might need professional website help at a reasonable cost.

We got our tent set up fairly quickly and put up our HubuMedia signage. All of the signage was designed by our lead designer Vernon. Unfortunately Vernon could not be with us that day but the great posters we had represented his colorful character.

I made a quick little video that I like to show you now highlighting the days events. HubuMedia will be returning next year with some new fun ideas for families and their pets.

We gave out almost 50 HubuMedia pamphlets as well as many business cards. We also offered free bottled water to people as well as pets. We had a couple of dog bowls with some water in front of our tent and some of the friendly canines walking down the street really appreciated that.

As you can see from some of the pictures, the fair is quite busy and a lot of fun for families. The temperature that day was wonderful. A bit chilly in the morning, but it warmed up in the afternoon to just below 70°. A few times during the morning we had a few gusts of wind but there wasn't anything to worry about because we had some Kettlebells folding the tent down. Yea, Kettlebells!

We also had a raffle to give away free tickets to the Philadelphia zoo courtesy of Krissy Talley, the HubuMedia social media expert. We picked the winner this weekend and will be mailing out the tickets to that lucky individual who put their name in our contest box.
